There are a number of different ways to market a Ventura County home and get potential Buyers into see it. In addition to our extensive marketing in newspapers, local magazines, the Internet, open houses and the MLS. There are some things that you, as the Seller can do to help get $top dollar$ for your own home. The following are some suggestions that we will discuss with you in further detail that you can do to help.
Marketing
Marketing your home is what listings are all about. Getting top dollar $$$ is what listings are all about. We work on a very simple premise- The more exposure your home gets, the more people that see your home…the better chance you have of getting top dollar.
Prepare It for Showing:

Clean everything - Floors, windows, appliances, skylights, etc.

Eliminate Clutter-Remove small items sitting on tables and countertops and organize closets and cabinets. Remove any unnecessary furniture to create a more open feeling.

Freshen Up- Empty all trash, recycle bins, bathe pets and clean out litter boxes, place flowers, potpourri or air fresheners around the house.

Fix-It- Fix leaky faucets, replace missing door or cabinet handles, etc. Paint if necessary.

Outside- Mow and water the lawn, trim trees and plant flowers. Store all bikes, toys and equipment out of sight. Paint or touch-up as necessary.

The more accessible and convenient you make your home to be shown, the more exposure you will get.

If you are around when prospective Buyers are viewing your home, going for a short walk or just stopping outside for a few minutes while they are there enables them to really get a truer feel for the home.
